From first call to launch
Five steps. You know the price before any work starts.
Call
15 minutes. You tell me what you need, I ask questions and tell you honestly if I'm the right fit.
Proposal with fixed price
I send what I'll make, a realistic timeline and one fixed price. No surprises later.
Design
I work out the structure and flows first, then the look. You review and give feedback.
Build
I build it in Lovable and share progress as I go, so you can try it early.
Launch & handover
We go live on your domain. In a handover session I show you how to keep editing it yourself.
About Terry
Who you're working with
I'm Terry Penman. I've worked in design for over 15 years, the last eight as a product designer for software companies that sell to other businesses.
Before Mélange Studio I ran my own company, Cronje Design Co. I work solo on purpose: you deal with me from the first call to launch, and everything you see here was designed and built by me.
I start with who's using it and what it has to do, then the structure and flows, then the look, then the build. Whether it's a website, a first version of an app, or a project that's stuck.

Questions people ask before booking

What does it cost?
It depends on the project. A simple site for a small business and a first app version with logins and a database are different jobs, so I can't name a number before I know what you need. After our call I send a proposal with one fixed price for exactly what we agreed, and it doesn't change halfway. If something looks like it will cost more than you expect, I tell you before we start.
How long does it take?
It depends on what we're making. A website is usually the quicker of the two; a first app version takes longer, because the flows have to be worked out first. In the proposal you get a realistic range, not a fixed number of days.
Do I own the result?
Yes. The domain, the project and everything in it are yours. In the handover session I show you how it's put together, so you can keep editing it yourself in Lovable or have someone else do it.
What if I already started in Lovable?
Then Fix & finish is the right place to start. I look at the design, the logins and database rules, and how fast it runs, then fix what's needed to launch it properly. You don't have to start again.
Do you work with clients outside the Netherlands?
Yes. I work remotely: calls by video, clear written updates, and everything agreed in writing. Where you are doesn't change how we work.
What happens after launch?
We finish with a handover session where I show you how it works and how to keep editing it. After that you can run it yourself, or I can stay on for support. If you want that, we agree what it covers and what it costs before any of it starts. Either is fine.
